My babies!!
The ACT is tomorrow.  I'm getting very nervous.  I hope I don't get laughed at considering i'll probably seem like an old lady to all the young'uns taking the test with me.

I have to get my last 2 practice tests finished today.  I just know that math is gonna kick my ass!  Wish me luck!

It's depressing enough when your kids grow up but do you know what happens when your kids turn 17?  You lose $1000 in deductions on your taxes.  We had $2000 less in deductions this year because Dustin & Blake were both 17.

It's pretty ironic considering Dustin has probably cost more this year than he ever has. lol

Speaking of which, UPS just delivered his new laptop.  That's what he wanted for a graduation present.  See, 17 year olds are damn expensive!

How did I miss Pearl Jam on the Tonight Show?  Ugh!  Yes, I now realize Nic was not talking about that damn ice cream!

Ugh!  I just watched it on youtube though.  I don't know what i'd do without it.

My babies!!
I'd hate to jinx it but Jonah did all of his work in class without his teacher having to coax him along.  She was so excited when I got there and of course I am too.  Maybe it was just a phase.  I'm hoping the rest of the week goes as well.  I told him if he did this well for the rest of the week he could pick out a toy or a game for his DS this weekend.  Yes, I will stoop to bribery! :D

My babies!!
Jonah was at the table doing homework while I was cleaning up the kitchen last night.  He had to trace and write 15 - 20.  When he got to 19 he said, "Mama, come check out my 19, it will knock your socks off!"  lol

My babies!!
A couple of weeks ago when I dropped Jonah off there was a letter in his box informing us that his teacher, Miss Judy, was resigning as the teacher and will be an assistant instead.  They immediately got a new teacher, Miss Shameka.

My first reaction was to wonder why in the hell she would do this with only a little over 2 months left in the year.  Now, when I dropped him off the next day I was impressed by his new teacher right away.  She's much more cheerful than Miss Judy was.  Greeting each child as they walk in the door.  Something Miss Judy never did.

Right away Jonah told me he wanted Miss Judy to be his teacher again.  He also has been getting in trouble almost every day since.  Mostly for not doing his work or not paying attention.  His friend's mom said he's not liking the new teacher either although she likes her better.  Makes me wonder what in the hell is going on with my child.

I still think it's absolutely ridiculous for them to have done this right here at the end of the school year.  It would be different if she was leaving the school all together.  I don't know...i'm just praying for a better week!

My babies!!
My sister finally gave me back my treadmill a few weeks ago.  It's old but I figured what the hell and made a place to set it up in the living room.  I really need to do something before my body completely falls apart.  Anyway, I got on it last night and remembered why I hated the damn thing.  It has absolutely no padding and it sounds pitiful.  I've had it over 10 years so I guess it's not going to.  I was disappointed!

My boss mentioned he had an exercise bike he doesn't want since they all joined a gym.  I may get that from him until I can afford a nice treadmill.  I never felt like you could really run on the one I have even when it was new so i'd like to get a good one this time.

I'd join a gym myself if I just had 1 more hour in the day.  Right now i'm just not willing to give up any of my time at home with Jonah.  If I can get that bike from Charlie and maybe throw in some yoga I know i'd feel so much better.  I'd really like to try pilates eventually.  Can that be done well at home?
